Payments to Healthcare Professionals

As a member of Medicines Australia, AstraZeneca has undertaken to be open and transparent when we provide a reportable payment of transfer of value to a healthcare professional. Reportable payments or transfers of value are:

• Payments for the provision of services such as giving a lecture, chairing an educational meeting, providing advice as a member of an Advisory Board or as a Consultant
• Airfares, accommodation and/or conference registration fees to attend medical education as part of the provision or services or as a participant.

AstraZeneca prepares transfer of value reports every 6 months for publication in accordance with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, Edition 20 and Australia's Privacy legislation. Healthcare Professionals who agree to provide services on behalf of AstraZeneca Australia do so with full disclosure regarding the requirement for transparency reporting.

To comply with our privacy obligations, reports may be amended from time to time to contain the most up to date information. In addition to disclosing transfers of value to Healthcare Professionals, AstraZeneca also disclose sponsorship of third party educational meetings and symposia, and payments made to Health Consumer Organisations.

These reports will be available for at least three years from the date of publication.
