We are planting millions of trees in Australia
AstraZeneca Australia is proud to partner with Greening Australia and One Tree Planted to plant biodiverse, native and locally appropriate trees.
So far we have planted over 7.6 million native trees in priority regions located in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.
The large-scale environmental project is part of AstraZeneca’s global AZ Forest initiative to plant 200 million trees.
Electric vehicles
Our field-based employees are transitioning to battery electric vehicles at the change over time of their current vehicle.
Our aim is to look for solutions to transition to electric vehicles and ensure our employees have all the information they need to support this change.
This is a significant step towards AstraZeneca’s commitment to a healthy future for people, society and the planet.
Medicines Australia Medical Sustainability Group
Focusing on the role that we play in healthcare system sustainability, AstraZeneca has played a critical role in setting up the Medicines Australia Medical Sustainability Group.
This group is committed to driving industry change and ensuring the medicines industry is a leader in sustainability across all aspects of its operations.
AZ Healthy Planet
The Australia and New Zealand AZ Healthy Planet Employee Resource Group provides a forum open to all employees to drive environmentally sustainable change from within the organisation.
It is a passionate grassroots membership that has been at the forefront of enabling, promoting and embedding change in employee operational practice to reduce AstraZeneca Australia and New Zealand's impact on the environment across the organisation.
