Reconciliation
Acknowledgement of Country
AstraZeneca acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and on which our office is located. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander's continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.
Reconciliation Action Plan
AstraZeneca Australia & New Zealand has launched its first Reconciliation Action Plan in 2022, as part of our organisation’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment that promotes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ empowerment.
Reconciliation is a journey, and one that will undoubtedly be peppered with great learns which will both inspire and challenge us. It is a journey AstraZeneca is committed to undertake.
We believe we can truly make a positive impact in the healthcare of all Australians, therefore we will engage directly and indirectly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities to build a framework that will guide us along this important journey.
We credit and thank Melissa Streater of Marramarra Creative for creating a piece of art that reflects AstraZeneca's commitment to better health outcomes for patients. It is on the cover of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan and shown here.
