AstraZeneca exports pharmaceutical products from its Sydney plant to more than 37 countries around the world, from Europe to Asia, New Zealand to Japan.  Export sales exceeded $175 million in 2005.

AstraZeneca strives to make a difference to people’s lives around the world, and the ‘state of the art’ manufacturing facilities at North Ryde, NSW play an important role in the global production and supply of pharmaceutical products.

In 2004, we produced almost 95 million polyamps and 43 million respules, and packaged more than 19 blister cards of tablets.

In 2004, AstraZeneca was joint winner of the DIANA Award, which was received in recognition of our outstanding achievment in the manufacture of prescription medicines.
