AstraZeneca's products and activities touch people's lives worldwide. With a global business comes a global responsibility to the communities in which we operate.

At AstraZeneca we do not consider corporate responsibility and sponsorship to be an optional activity - it is an integral part of all that we do.

In 2008, our spend on community sponsorships and charitable donations worldwide totalled $718 million.

Proud Australian Supporter

In Australia, AstraZeneca has a proud history of supporting the local community.

In 2005, AstraZeneca announced a partnership with Redkite, a children's cancer charity.  Our ongoing support assists Redkite in providing children and their families battling with childhood cancer, with fundamental services, both financial and emotional.

In 2009, AstraZeneca continued its support of Movember, with proceeds going to Beyond Blue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with proceeds going to the McGrath Foundation.

During natural disasters when widespread devastation occurs, AstraZeneca in Australia and globally, often makes substantial financial and product donations, as well as co-ordinating staff fundraising efforts to facilitate personal contributions.
